luvbigfish Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Who's going fishing this weekend I'm tipping after the big swells the fish will be hungry
Guest no one Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Yeah I'm heading out sat morning, going to go wide in search of some tuna, conditions look good but unsure whether the fish will play ball.
Overdraft Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Thinking of doing the same thing. Maybe a drop at browns and keep heading east untill the water clears
Rami Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 The Snapper will be frothing ! I bet the fish ain't the only thing frothing. Man, I am dying for a fish.
Scratchie Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Not worth land based in the ocean. Went and had a look this morning and there's more debris than my kids bedroom! I can see the dirty water stretches at least 10km offshore.
GreyNurse Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 I'm going to wet a line in the Hacking after lunch. One thing I've noticed is that big seas often drive the small reef dwelling snapper (squire) inside the Port for shelter. Hope they like squid. I'm not making them anything else for lunch.

amkr Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 I'll be throwing some fishfood in landbased off the georges. I know my chances of getting anything is probably buckleys but I need some time out of the house!

They maybe about but I think they'll be a lot further out than that. I was hoping to chase longtail tomorrow but I think it might be a struggle to find them. Well, you never know unless you have a go!
Overdraft Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 The charts show green water for Kms out to sea. Pretty sure it didn't clear up untill about 80 Kms out
macman Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Should be pretty good around the rocks, land based snapper blokes should do OK over the next few days. Matt
