leonardroy
G-Day Guys, Last weekend I spent fishing around Marlow & Spencer part of the Hawkesbury. This area looks like it would produce good Bream at the right time of Year And suitable tides. Tides seemed too big when I was there and I only boated three Bream. I was wondering if any of you guys know the area and can advise me , as to the best time of year etc. Any help at all would be appreciated . Good fishing to all, regards Len. macman
to the site Leonardroy. Can't help a real lot with that area - other than - stick with tides that have less than a metre flow between top and bottom - lot less run in the water. If you can get your hands on Bruce Schumaker's old video on fishing Sydney, then it has a specific segment on bream fishing up there. 68535[/snapback] That Bruce Schumaker video has been rereleased, maybe even on DVD. It is certainly a good no-nonsense view of Sydney fishing and a very worthwhile watch. Matt

Viking
Hmm. When its running hard at Marlow... Send one of those yellow berly baskets down the anchor line filled with Chicken Pellet, sprayed with a bit of aniseed oil. Then rig up a mini patenoster rig (with sinker on the bottom) . Use light gear, put out as many rods as possible and pray. - Works for me.. Cheers
kevvie
try spencer when the tides are bigger and marlows when the tide is smaller. Great fish there at times but it's been a little teprimental latley. Usually the best time of year down there is late summer/autumn. But you need fresh bait, live nippers, live prawns, fresh herring etc.

Maybe I can buy it somewhere, so if yourself or mates know where I can pick up a copy I would be grateful. Mate I put that report in and hoped I might get a reply.
