Just wondering if anyone has used the Myola ramp for larger boats lately. I have a 18/19 foot fibreglass boat and need to know if Myola is OK in any tide.

I use Callala Bay but there is a lot of sand on the ramp which makes it difficult in lower tides, impossible at a dead low tide.

Thanks

I have never had any issue at Callala Bay, but the other ramps I use is Currarong and Bodoree. But I am not a local, so you probably go when it's really low tides :)

Yes your right at dead low tide you can get someone to run the car around to Myola and drive the boat around into the creek at Huskisson up the river and to Myola. Gravel Ramp but deffinetly deeper than Callala at low tide. No ameneties, wharf anything like that at all. I would only use it if deffinetly cant get back in at callala.

Callala at dead low is shocking.

I came in there a few weeks ago and it wasn't even knee deep half way down the jetty

Made bringing a 22 ft boat in interesting in a southerly.

When I stay @ Myola I always use the Myola ramp & never had a problem launching or retrieving a 6m boat with a ford wagon (2wd). Dfishin mentioned a gravel ramp? I could have swore it was concrete! but either way its plenty deep enough & well protected from the wind, Watch you channel markers while navigating the creek!

and No it does not have the luxuries we have come used to over the past 10 years but the ramp is fine!

Thanks for your replies that helps a lot. I don't really care about amenities better than not being able to get your boat in.

Maybe the council need to know about all the sand built up on the Callala ramp, it never used to be this bad.

Thanks again.

There's a tap on the back of the toilet block which I used to flush my motor.

Only thing missing is cleaning table and lights at night.

I had no probs with solo launch and retrieve using the little beach to pull the boat onto.
