Hi,

I have bought two floodlights for my boat which I plan to fix to my rocket launcher and I want to have a crack at wiring them up myself but I am an electrical novice! I have a six gang switch and want to put it to the same switch as an internal light (which is bottom left as you look at it) but I can't work out what wire goes where. I have attached a picture and wonder if there is either an easy explanation or anyone knows of a good 'how to' online guide etc?

Any help appreciated

Dave

to my untrained eye, I think you'd find that the white wire goes to your internal

light. If this is the case, then your spotlights positives would go here and the

negatives would all go to your busbar

Looks like a simple spade connector

Easy enough , just use a test lamp to find out which wire has power once the switch is on . You'll find that one wire will have constant power while the other is the "trigger wire ", which looking at your photo should be the White Wire . Are the floodlights LED ? If not make sure the fuse in the fuse holder is the correct amp to accomodate the extra lights . If you get stuck & your around Western Sydney let me know I'll be more than glad to help out a fellow Fish-raider ....

Thanks guys, I really appreciate your help and hope I can return the favours at some point. I am going to have a crack at the weekend and will shout up if I can't get my head around it.
