Got a leave pass from the. Mrs last night and with the barometer sitting at 1025 and a cloudy night I decided to go soak some baits for a Jewy.

Launched at Muddy creek and headed out around 4pm straight to the tugs in the bay for some livies and they were very hungry in no time at all had half a dozen yakkas in the tank.

Now came the big decision where to set up shop decided the George's as the Cooks had a lot of debris washing down headed over and set up at one the holes, water was dirty but had heard reports of fish still being caught further up the system so was still confident. Set out the spread a squid bait a livie and a slab bait. Fished 2 hours before and 3 hours after the high tide for a large ray taken on the slab and a soapie on the squid. Both quickly released unharmed. Had a massive run on the livies but the hooks didn't stick. My spot didn't fire as good as it usually does but still def worth the trip.

Sorry for the dark pic flash wasn't working

Can't wait for this rain to bugger off still waiting to crack that magic meter. In hind sight probably would of been better off fishing one of the holes in the bay where the water wasn't so dirty. But I'm still trying to find that elusive Jew hole they are a very tightly guarded secret haha

Cheers
