I have read so much about them being significantly down in numbers, are they still worth chasing "land based" in the cowan creek?

I have always been curious if they can be chased land based. I believe someone mentioned they could, but I have no idea where. Do you mind sharing any common spots in Cowan Creek (not after any secret spots).

akuna bay/jerusalem bay

There is a national park collection booth near akuna bay. You will find a park that gets locked up at night. So don't park in there. But just near there you will see a land based spot that always has people fishing.... Look for parking around there or just outside the park. You can't miss the spot.

Land based fishers I have seen use floats with red lights. Use trace. good luck. Note: that place gets way too crowded. But worth stopping by to see what people are doing.
