Guest hawkesbass Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 For a change of pace today royce, andrew, mark and myself hit up a nice protected ledge in the national park. We arrived too perfect conditions in the lee of the southern headland of the bay. Andrew and mark were the first to land a fish each followed by me. Three fish in the first half hour. Royce was a little off his game first up but found his mojo with a vengeance landing a nice pig for his first fish landed. For the next three hours on the making tide we went pretty much fish for fish with each other. 21 luderick and 1 drummer made the keepers net with 16 fish kept between the four of us. On the way home we stopped past lake illawarra too check for weed and found a nice little patch growing. Thanks for a great day out boys. Cheers trevor.
jenno64 Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 That is a seriously good session and well done on finding the spot out of wind & swell!
papafish Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Is it dangerous where you guy fished. I'm not a big fan of the rocks. But I guess is there not much wind and swell it's good to fish eh. Great catch!
Guest hawkesbass Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 All rock ledges/spots have their dangers to be mindfull off. This spot is a fair hike in and the ledge is high too the water below.
Ryder Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 It was a fun session mate. And a nice change from the micro fish I have been catching lately. Cheers.
