salmon as snapper bait

Hi All,

Has anyone ever use salmon fillets or chunk for snapper fishing land base or boat? It seem salmon season is on now and thought of converting them into some legal or even better mega snapper

My brother down in Victoria does the same and it works. He'll collect some fillets soon then target them land based.

Salmon are a good bait and a far better use than eating them.

I used them on Friday night, it works. Rubbish eating and don't mind doing my bit to thin down their numbers

At my fishing club there is a retired pro fisher and they used the salmon as the preferred bait in strips and berley .
