Beach fishing - Wamberal Central Coast

G'day Fellas. Just a quick little report from the other night we had down at Wamberal. Plan was to throw some metals around for some tailor and Aussie sambos and then these set out live in the hope of a Jew. We arrived on the beach just as the sun was going down and managed to find a decent gutter with a reasonable swell rolling in. Didn't take long and we were Into the tailor. I quickly sent one of these out with twin 10/0 circle hooks with 80lb leader. It didn't take long for the tell tale signs that the fish was in quiet some distress. Sure enough a solid hit was felt before a short run then nothing. Wound it in to find we had been sharked. The taxman loves this time of year and it can be hard to get away from them. Repeated the process for the exact same result. We continued spinning and managed a mix of talior and small Aussie salmon of which two of the tailor were kept for the table. I find this time of year the tailor are always thick and if you can find a gutter that runs alongside a sandbar with some good wash due to the waves breaking your off to a good start. Most metals work just vary the size to match what the fish are feeding. We will get that meter Jew this winter of the beach
