Guest 4myson
Definetly , the place is known for its Jews & breams . Are you fishing land based or boat ??
Shaggytrevally
I have a Fishing boat with and 8 year old in tow so need to be close to camp grounds if needed, hence why i was asking about jewies that far up as I cant get closer to the main hub and deeper waters near mooney mooney. Jamestown
I can assure you that you will not find those species at Pittown. You may find them in small numbers during a drought but the water is completely fresh there at the moment. Mullet, bass , and eels.
bessell1955
I agree with Jamestown. I live opposite Pitt Town bottoms on the Wilberforce side. At the moment the river is fresh as there has been a number of minor runs in it due to the heavy rain we have been having. The water is slightly muddy and discoloured due to the run-off. The fishing is not to flash at the moment, but having said that, give it a go. You may catch eels, bass and if you rig for them mullet. You will not catch saltwater species. You will need to go down Wisemans Ferry way. My students who live down there have stated that the fishing is not real hot down there due to the freshers we have had.
