Fishing_Maniac
Hi everyone, I have a spare 2500 size Shimano spool lying around at the moment and plan on filling it up with fluorocarbon. Targeting silver trevally and bream, I am planning to use 4 pound line. Does anyone have any brand recommendations? Cheers, James
Krispy !
v-hard is really good, if you cant get your hands on some then fc rock is the next best option
Jewhunter
Yo Zuri disappearing pink is the best 4lb flouro by a mile. Great knot strength, supple but tough. Worth every cent. In fact after many years of using flouro I rate this as the best flouro of the lot in any class up to 40lb.

Jewhunter
Do you think the pink colour helps the line disappear more easily? Cheers Yep, you bet. It's been scientifically proven that pink refracts less light than any other colour underwater. It's not just the colour though. I know some very good fishos who swear by it for it's toughness & great knot strength. I put Slinkmalinky on to it & it is now all he runs, & he is a very fussy man! SgtBundy
Black magic has been more solid for me than sunline, but it could be that it was a bad batch as Ryder also ran into the same problem as me with 6lb sunline fc rock. Guest Guest123456789
Samaki is easily the best fluro. The lines use triple resin, five lbs samaki equals about 10lbs anything else.
