kiwicraig
Have just respooled a couple of rods and thought I would share this tip. When I put line on a reel I also put a bit of duct tape on the reel seat with the lounge class on it. In this case 3kg fluorocarbon. I don't tend to move reels between rods so this works for me. PM79
Not a bad idea. You should take some line off that spool, it's overfilled.
Davemmm
I put a small piece of tape inside my spool and mark it with the line and date. Dave
Nolongeramember
That's a good idea mate if it works for you. I keep all these kind of notes under "notes" on my phone. I tend to remember what lines I have on my reels anyway but still do it just in case.
kiwicraig
You should take some line off that spool, it's overfilled.Yeah thanks. Will do. I wanted it really full to make the light lures cast a bit further, but I got a bit carried away.

Scratchie
After many years and 40 plus rod and reels, I know whats on them just by looking at them! That might be sad but yes I'm addicted! And if it gets to the point that I can't remember, then it's time for a respool. Cheers scratchie!!!
Rock&Beach
I buy multiple spools for reels so that I can change quickly to different line classes specially with fine braid it gets a little confusing. I etch on the spool so I can tell what it is. Saves having to remember to much detail. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
