Went for a flick around Rozelle and Blackwattle this afternoon. It was slow going at first, but then hit a patch of flatties- couple of smaller fish and a mummy that was pushing 60 cm, all in the space of under 10 mins.

Caught a little whiting too, so I put on a bigger lure with a white profile on the off-chance that there was a jewie hanging around the deeper areas at high tide, but no love apart from another couple of little flatties and a few pesky tailor. It was nice to get out and catch a fish after yesterday (whole day at Rose Bay for one little pike) and the weather stayed okay.

Thanks for reading,

Thanks gents, best thing was about a minute or two before hooking the bigger fish a couple of little kids had stopped with their parents to watch. They were super-excited when I landed it and started begging their dad to take them fishing next weekend. Hopefully a couple of little raiders in the making ;)
