adamski Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Hey folks, The other day I was out fishing one of my usual haunts, got a solid take on the drop with a larger squidgy-style plastic, but no hook up (second time that's happened in that spot). When I pulled up the lure it had the tail missing, and I immediately thought tailor, but it also had some kind of larger "scuff marks" on either side of the bite. I'd never seen marks like that before. I don't have a pic unfortunately, but just wondered if anyone knew what it might have been. I'm going to check my bag to see if I didn't leave the lure in there or if it got thrown away. I'll post a pic if I can find it. Cheers, Adam
Ryder Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 I'm thinking kingfish Kings don't have big bitey teeth like tailor. They hand feed them on Lord Howe .
Guest 4myson Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Jewie probably , they definetly have teeth
thefisherman6784 Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 My mate that put me onto my first jewwie told me that Jews will leave a few peg mark type bites on the head of the plastic instead of cuts, slices or bite offs on the plastic After catching the Jewwy it showed that it left about 5 peg marks before the point of the hook which shows they they attack their meal head first and the tail was basically still like new with no marks Happy to be proven wrong though That's just what I picked up Cheers Gianni
