Police are trying to determine if someone is missing, and are appealing for information after a capsized kayak was located at Port Kembla today.

Just after 2am (Sunday 13 September 2015), a master of a pilot vessel sighted the overturned kayak on the eastern side of jetty 206 in Port Kembla Outer Harbour.

A search was conducted of the kayak, which is described as being blue/camouflaged in colour; however no one was located near it, and no one has reported it missing.

Officers attached to Port Kembla Water Police attended and are appealing for the occupier of the kayak to come forward and contact them via Crime Stoppers.
