The Incredible Hull Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Hi All, i sprayed rust converter on my axle and U bolts, but also it got the inside section of my tyre. I didn't think much of it at the time... but now I'm not sure if it was a good idea to expose my tyre to it. Does anyone know if this a big deal and can speak from actual experience? Thanks.
pjbink Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 It probably won't do the tyre much good, being acid based (usually phosphoric acid). It would have been best to wash/ wipe it off immediately.
zook2001 Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 I wouldn't worry too much it doesn't react with rubber and has minimal effect on galvanizing, it's the same acid as you find in mag wheel clearer.
The Incredible Hull Posted September 15, 2015 Author Posted September 15, 2015 thanks Zook! I inspected it again today and it didn't doing anything, thanks again!
