Went fishing last night just at the mouth of georges river around taren point bridge

i was using 5inch jerk shadz and twice i hooked up something big and it ran with my line

First hook up once i lost the tension all that came back up was aomething that looks like eggs

The second hook up was something much larger and made my rod scream had to follow with the boat at the when i got close to it it was very hard to pull up once i lost the tension all that came up was something that looked like its guts which ive attatched aswell

Looks like a plant to me. Perhaps a fruiting body.

I suspect. It was heavy due to moving with the current then snapped just leaving the bit you have.

I'm no botanist though.
