Saturday 25/9 what are day! On port hacking

its been almost 2 weeks since I been out fishing due to shitty weather, gone home around 2pm after lunch, the ms said she's tire and wanna get a nap! I'm like yeah it's cold, and raining. perfect for a nap!

She told me do whatever you want and don't disturb me. Hahah il like! Yes, I'll just head out for a short session of fishing. Heard it was productive fishing wit a it of rain.

So I grab my prawns and chicken and off I went to port hacking. Got there and started getting small snapper. And it was alright at least I'm getting something. Then around an 1hr landed a 30+ Taylor. And more baby snapper in between!! Swap one of the rod over and started flicking for squid. Manage to get one. Then the other rod were moving. But in a funny way, I drag and felt weight.. Reel it in with tension on the line. It came up to be a blue swimmer!!!! Woo hoo. I can see the rainbow~~~~

The ms started running around 5.30 so I was like yeah I'm packing up and leaving now. Of course with another lucky last cast. Didn't notice any movement for like 2 minute and was tempted to pack it up and go. But I said to myself, nahh just wait and see anything takes it. It sure move!! But just like knock knock!! I'm like not another snapper.... Then I said. F@$k it packing up and go. Lift and felt weight! Started reeling it in. Not much head shakes.. I knew it was gonna be a flatti and when I got it to the surface.. It was a decent one. Without any net!! I knew I have to do it quick! Got down and grab my leader and lift it up. Just as it got out of the water. It dropped!! But lucky straight into my bucket!!! Wahahaha my lucky day. Would be easily 40+cm

It was windy but it's all worth it catching a mix bag

yeah its a mix bag i got to say. never saw the crab coming. it was fun . fish and chips for the flattie and steam blue swimmer this everning

Did you send the squid back out live ?

i cut it up and it end up getting eatten by under size snapper. didn't throw the whole thing out. its abit too big i recogn lol. cut strip but nothing big, people say you send out live squid you get jewie... but never even came close to one yet. and not trevelly at sight today either.
flattie and the crab were the big surprise there.

Well done papa fish ... Should've keep the Squid for calamari rings & you would've had a Seafood Buffet !!
