Howdy,

Hit the beach this afternoon for a quick fish. :biggrin2:

The strong gales today flattened out the seas which left the beach void of any decent breaks and foamy water.

Still, to my surprise I landed 3 nice Tailor to gang pillies. The fish are still few and far between, and no sambo's appearing either.

I also sliced up and butterflied one of the Tailors for Jew bait only to have my whole bait shredded by pickers within a few minutes of casting :ranting2:

I did read reports (Alex Bellisimo) that last weeks moon and king tides had a few good Jew taken off the beach at Narra and Collaroy.

Cheers,

Spizza

3 good tailor is not too bad for Sydney's beaches

bad luck about the pickers they can bugger a good bait very quickly as you found out. I have also heard reports that the number of nuisance sharks about has also dropped off though I don't know if that's a good thing or not as an old timer once told me that if you're catching bronzies the jew aren't far away.

i remember a session on the Hawkesbury 3 years ago where we caught 6 bromzies in about an hour and thinking we were just wasting our time the next hookup(which my cousin played as a shark) resulted in a 20kg Jew :1yikes:...still waitin for mine, lucky *&$# :ranting2:

Sounds as though that there is another fishraider social potential. Fishraider jewfish night off the beach, Say Narrabeen. In addition to a jewfish night in the Hawkesbury.

Hope you get the jew your looking for. I am still waiting for mine to come along.

Great idea Martin...

Nth Beaches fishraider social sounds great. I am biased though as I live on the Northern Beaches. :biggrin2:
