snatcher Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Will be touching down in Sydney next week and staying till early January, based at our daughters at Collaroy. Planning a trip up to Byron Bay in early December. Will be hiring a car and having a slow drive up,fishing and visiting places of interest on the way. Have stayed at your Big4 Parks before and quite like them so thinking about staying at Port McQuarrie and Port Stephens on the drive up. Just after some general advice on what to see and where to fish on the way up and also at Byron Bay. Thanks in advance. John
GoingFishing Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 If your doing the drive to Byron from sydney then u can't drive past south west rocks without having a go, January is good offshore season so it might be worth paying to have a day on a charter !
Camo1808 Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Definitely agree with goingfishing. South west rocks is gun!! Also worth a shot at forster amd even evans head. Have a bit of research around harrington. Great all round spot. Cheers Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk

Crossfire63 Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Manning Point near Taree has a great caravan park, excellent bowling club and the beach fishing can only be described as exceptional Theres a little tackleshop on your left just as you go into Coffs Harbour thats worth while checking out as well. ( Leave your wallet in the car)
