Niffa Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 In search of a new combo for bass, I am currently running a Daiwa Lexa 2000SH on a Pflueger Trion 7' 2-4kg, I'm searching for a new combo around $350, If you recommend I can just get a new reel for the Trion because its only 6 Months old.
nickb111 Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 If that's the trion with the k guides Hang onto it! Good rod, can throw a range of weights etc. try and find something like a 1000/2500 stradic fj in a store special and spool it up with some 8 strand braid.. Much cheaper option than a whole new combo and will be as effective! Why don't you like the lexa
Niffa Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 Hi nick, I am Changing the lexa to a bream reel because of the oil seal, I am changing it out with my old elf, It is the trion with the k guides also would you recommend any other reels in my pric range such as stradic ci4
nickb111 Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Isn't the lexa in that small size going to work as a bream reel?
nickb111 Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Try to get a shimano worm gear reel.. I only recommended the stradic fj because if you find it it will be significantly cheaper than other comparable models
Niffa Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 Ok, just wondering because I have had a play with the stradic Ci4 and it feels amazing
foolforjesus Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Daiwa Luvias 2004, very light and a pleasure to fish with.
