Tag117 Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Hey Raiders, Was out for 1 week at Lake Keepit doing a university geology subject. While there couldnt resist bringing some rods. Initially tried spinnerbaits for natives, no success and a tonne of snags. I kept seeing carp rise or swim past so decided to give them a shot. Stopped by a servo and picked up some canned corn for the cheap price of $7 per can . However, it was well worth, absolutely cleaned up on the carp! Carp are always a good bit of fun especially when they are a decent size and you get them every cast! (Big one in the photo not caught by me but by a mate)
rockfisherman Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Good on ya for taking advantage of the fishing opportunity and killing a few.
Brian Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Well done mate, they are a scurge on the waterways out west but, as you say fun on the light gear. I fish LK regularly. The Cod are on the fang at the moment. Pitty you couldn't get onto a few natives.
