Penguin Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Hi everyone, I took my sons down to visit a mate at Nowra on the weekend. We stayed in a cabin at a caravan park at Greenwell pt opposite the beach that also hires out dinghys. Sat was spent running around my mates small farm. Sunday we hired a tinny for three hours. We bought some servo prawns and pillies and set off to fish around some oyster leases. First fish caught was shovel nose shark that went back in the drink. Then we hooked something big that we followed around in the boat for 45mins. I managed to beach the boat in a sandbar and got this fish close enough for a look. It was the biggest ray I have ever hooked. He started to run again, so I cut the line. We motored back to our spot where we proceeded to catch several bream and flatties. The largest bream went 30cm and the largest flatty went 63cm. It was a fun three hours spent on the water with my boys. Here's some pics. Thanks for viewing.
