Lake Macquarie after rain

Hi Raiders,

Want to fish the lake on Saturday. Any ideas on where the fish will be? Will the rain push them down to the channel? Or does the lack of significant rivers not affect it that much. I haven't fished the areas much so don't really know - just wanting to fish that system more often.

Hey Mate

I went out yesterday arvo from 5 - 9pm. Fished Blacksmiths Breakwall for halfa however the people started flowing in as normal so I had a throw off the beach beside the breakwall.

Ended up with 3 whiting from 30-37cm.

The guys fishing on the channel side of the breakwall were doing well with the bream, some good size in most up to about 40cm. They were getting them from 6pm or so, the waves were a pain yesterday and my gear was only light & getting smashed on the rocks that's why I fished the beach.

I'd recommend around the channel and on the high tide if you can, so much muddy fresh water still about.
