cjchen Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 (edited) 8th janbeen waiting for this rain to stop for a fish on the hobie.it was a sunny day with only a few clouds here and there, thankfully its a full run out in the morning with dirty water.launched at connells point in the morning and peddled straight to a few spots i've had success in the past.all fish caught casting chubbies towards structure 0.4 - 2m in depth released about 10 more and got bricked by one big bream.biggest flathead going 66 and bream going 38 WHICH had a chubby inhaled with bib and trebles crushed. A first for me to see a whole chubby inside a bream's mouth as they usually hit the tail.total damage was 2 chubbies costing $40 it was a glorious day. it is rare to have fish after cast after cast and enough to feed 3 families. Yowie Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 (edited) Good work, a few nice feeds in that lot. A bit of rain makes the fish hungry, and less inhibited to strike. Edited January 9, 2016 by yowie
onearmedfisho Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Did well mate, did you fish around the connells point area mainly or did you have a bit or a peddle to get the fish?
fiveflies Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Shame about the chubbies but great result on the catch.
