Walker2795 Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Hey guys it's my first ever report because I finally had a semi successful trip. I had been asking in another thread previously where to take kids so they wouldn't be bored. After these responses I decided to take my little brother and his friend fishing (both around 10) and they are keen fishos which is why I love taking them. After looking at options I thought it would be easiest to take them to Rose Bay to see if we could find a bream or whiting. We rocked up at about 5pm found a nice shady spot along the rock ledge and I started to chop up some pillys for burley. Baited the two boys up with prawn and taught them to cast in without killing someone. It was first cast when they started to get bites, it was small but it was keeping them entertained. After about an hour of continual battle with fish bites my brother hooked a little snapper. This was so cool because we are from North Queensland and have never seen a snapper before let alone catch one landbased. Another hour passed and they started to get bored so we called it a day. It was a tiny snapper but it was a first!! Hopefully I can find some bigger fish for myself

Ryder Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Great work mate. I always get a kick out of putting someone onto a fish. You might be surprised what turns up in Rose Bay, it's a good spot.
Rock&Beach Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Great work mate, you know they are hooked for life now Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
Walker2795 Posted January 18, 2016 Author Posted January 18, 2016 Thanks guys! Yea even though it's a full time job baiting them two up it is well worth it in the end
bessell1955 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 What a thoughtful big brother you are. Great to see.
