With all the colour in the Hawkesbury the best place to fish is in the open mouth and around Ettalong. If fishing Ettalong drift towards the lifesaving club I offen pick up a mixed bag of flathead whiting and soapies there. If nothing happening there after a couple of drifts move over to the sand flats on the opposite side (watch the waves ) for some big lizards on slab baits. Good luck.
