Need fresh water areas

Hi all

i want to take my tinnie to a fresh water river and try do fresh water fishing which I haven't done before. 

Are there any fresh water rivers not to far from Macarthur area Sydney !

Try the Hawkesbury and its tributaries.

bass,carp ,mullet-freshwater bits of the Hawkesbury/Nepean- but boat access can be tricky in places-or overrun by waterskiers. Closest boat accessible trout water is Lake Lyall

Mate I would agree with Paddy T the Nepean for bass fishing is the go  but you must go right up the Gorge to get away from the waterskiers. Also there are carp to be taken the river gets lower the further you go up but the scenery is so nice but sometimes the fishing can be hard .

i might give that area a try and have a flick for some freshwater fish, it might be a bit harder for me since I haven't  fresh water fished before
