Wellzy94
Hi mate, I've had success at Narrabeen lakes using a poddy trap for live baits. Just cut a big X in the side of a 2L juice bottle, folded the tabs in and filled with bread mushed together with chicken pellets. Pushed it under the surface of the water near the bank (<1m deep) and left it there for half hour while we pumped nippers, and came back to a few poddies in the bottle. Just found an old thread on Fishraider with some other idea too - Cheers, Wellzy

BrassRoots
There is actually DPI regs on bait traps. Make sure you are compliant to avoid any issues. http://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/fishing/recreational/fishing-rules-and-regs/perm-prohib-saltwater
