chokpa
Hiring a bbq pontoon this weekend with some friends and planning on soaking a line. Considering water temperature these days though it's been hard going in the harbour. I can only imagine its going to be tough going in the georges as well. Any tips for landing a few in the cold august water? Cheers

Smasher
35 knot winds on Saturday might be your biggest issue mate
Ribs
Yep agree the wind will be your biggest enemy. But....try From the front of the wonnie to the 1st red marker anchor in the channel (drift will be too fast on a pontoon) , burley..... Use squid tentacles, nippers or worms for whiting/bream and flick a blade around for the odd lethargic flaty or monster whiting. Arvo run out tide so u have a chance. Otherwise enjoy the beers and bbq in a special part of the shire! Atm Water temp approx 16degrees. Let us know how u go
