BrassRoots
I've been living in Coogee for a few years now and every spring the bust ups start off Mistral point near Maroubra. I saw one start up the other day and it reminded me to post here. I dont have a boat so cant reach them but if you're on the water and looking for somewhere to try I would recommend having a look between Mistral point and Wedding Cake Island on low tide. Whenever I see them it doesnt matter what time of day it is, it just seems to happen around low tide. I think the predators hit the bait schools as they leave the safety of the point and make their way north.
Mike89
Thanks for the tip-off on the bite. Things do seem to be warming up for summer! Can't wait to catch a few of the big guys.
