mrsswordfisherman
Hi All, With the weather warming, it’s the prime time to ensure that your boats are ready to go and all relevant safety checks and preventive maintenance have been undertaken. Recently Bob Wilson from Marine Rescue and I attended another successful club night, this time at Woronora fishing club. We conversed with around 18 gentlemen who had some great questions and enjoyed the presentation. We closed with a flare demonstration, with two of the expired hand-held orange flares failing to ignite; this was a great reminder to ensure that your open water kits are up to date and the flares current. I have had a number of clubs approach me to come and speak at their clubs in the coming weeks. A reminder to all that this is a free service and I am ready, willing and able to come along and deliver my presentation with Marine Rescue. Don’t forget I have plenty of boating handbooks, various stickers and other great info resources for you all. Gone Fishing NSW Day is fast approaching. On the 15th of October this year, I will be in attendance at Depena Reserve along with a number of other stalls including the Old 4 New Van. Bonnet Bay Boat Ramp is currently closed, undergoing much needed repairs and upgrades, and is expected to reopen in late November this year. Navigation Warning - Floyd Bay, Georges River FLOYD BAY BOAT RAMP is closed until further notice. Alternative boat ramps which provide access to the Georges River include Angel Park, Bradbury Wharf in Chipping Norton Lakes, and Rabaul Road at Georges Hall.
