- Zman grubz

- Zman jerk shadz

- Zman minnowz

sorry never really tried the slim swimz

Same here, partly because Zman hold up so well to toothy critters and don't shrivel up in the sun etc, very cost effective lures ( not so good for tackle stores !!!).

Zman Slim Swimz

Berkley Gulp Jerk Shad

Zman Curly Tail Grubz

The Zman slim swimz lures are sooo good because of their unique action and small size, also they are indestructible. Only downside is no scent. The jerkshads are so good aswell, sometimes better than the slim swimz because of the scent. Caught everything u can think of on the slim swimz.

Not seeing much love for squidgies, but they are my go to soft plastics. I love the squidgy fish and lobbys for flatties, and the wrigglers for pretty much everything else, actually including flatties. Also a fan of the squidgy flick baits, but I haven't used them a lot recently, they work better in summer when the fish are more active from my experience.

Zman grubz are the bomb. They really are super effective. I find the 2" is more versatile than the 2.5" due to the slimmer body and plus they go on a size 2 hook perfectly. Everything will eat them.

I also use the slim swims in 2.5" all the time, which are also highly effective. They also work well when rigged on a beetle spin. I caught plenty of bass recently using that setup with a 1/8oz jighead on the beetle spin.

Squidgy wrigglers in 80mm bloodworm slay the bream and most other estuary species and the 100mm bloodworm is my go to soft plastic for EP's and Flathead.

Don't discount using hardbodys in the mix too, they definitely have plenty of applications when soft plastics won't deliver the goods, especially when chasing natives.

Must be a confidence thing I cant catch a fish with grubs but change wrigglers in the same spot and get fish mostly flat head but will persist with the grubs as peeps rate them.

Go with what works. I reckon a lot of the difference in effectiveness has to do with the style. I've been out in groups where we're all catching fish on different baits, trade the poles around and nobody catches anything.

I find a lot of people fish their plastics way too fast. Leave a longer time between hops and give the bream/fish time to pick them up off the bottom when they come to rest. With Zmans that tail will be wafting in the current while it is on the bottom so give them a chance to nail it otherwise you'll just be pulling it away from them just as they are about to commit. I always find using scent works well, especially S Factor.
