Armpits
Anyone know a good land based fishing spot around Sydney that has active amounts of fish? Which also has access to rocks to fish from (nothing too dangerous more calm rock fishing would be more better) and also access to a wharf near by for when it gets dark etc.... TangerinelandbasedmachinE
Try darling point the wharf holds squid and yellow tail, either side of it has either man made rock walls built on a rock shelf where you can land anything the Harbour has to offer.. I have fished the western point of Clifton in low tides it’s a shelf that drops straight into the shipping and ferry channel. (Don’t get caught out there afterhalfqay to high tide like I did as the shelf becomes surrounded by the rising tide well before it is anywhere near submerged. Another alternative for an all nighter is head towards Bundeena, once in the National Park before you reach bundeena there is a markedly bushwalk or fire trail to Mali beach. You have to walk in from there, takes about and hour. Once at Mali head to the south end. There is a very small protected beach with rocks suitableto safely fish from on either side. It is wuite deep all the way up to the shore break on the steep beach. Most times I’ve been there I have reached my bag limit on whiting, salmon, tailor, and kingfish well at the very least the limit of the bag I am prepared to carry for the trek back to the car. ?
