Hey fisho’s

I am new to lures and I’m trying to learn how to use soft plastics, i’ve been researching some hard lures for 5 meter deep water and I have in mind a daiwa double clutch 75 but I wanna use the lure for shallow to just please give me some recomendations of lures and what they are used for and if anyone can tell me some good spots around drummoyne/chiswick I will greatly appreciate it!

Thank you guys❤️

what fish are you targeting?  that's usually more how you define the lure type, you'll  need a decent rod to effectively work a 75mm double clutch.

starting out I would focus on using lures a bit smaller and cheaper 50mm zerek tango shad is a good all rounder and far more economical than a double clutch, small lures catch big fish my biggest flathead was on a 40mm hardbody

I'm assuming your fishing landbased, forget trying to get a hardbody down 5m, focus on structure, sandflats and weedbeds etc...

you can work the same lure across multiple depths just by raising or lowering your rod tip

I personally prefer a twitch pause retrieve

the most important thing is to test your hardbody and make sure it swims straight you can use pliers to carefully adjust the tow point until it swims straight

any other questions I can answer just ask

I’m targeting flathead and bream

I’m learning how to use soft plastics at the moment, the day after I’m writing this I’m going to go fishing at the sandy flat at rose bay sydney going to try to catch my first fish on SP. I got some jackall chubby atomic crank and atomic shad thx for everything.
