Garmin striker 4dv

Hi guys, just need some info,,I have the Garmin striker4dv and I can't make out from the screenshots if there's a school of fish or just rubbish,,the sounder goes off to indicate fish but I'm not so sure...any info would be appreciated..

Those both definitely look like schools of baitfish. The bottom one I would say with 90% certainty, the top one around 80%. I have a striker 5cv+ and bait balls tend to look like that on mine.

Agreed, definitely bait. I have the same sounder & am amazed at how clear these new ones are.

Try dropping a squid jig or similar on your transducer side & you can accurately scrape the bottom!

Can any of you 2 know how to split the screen horizontally ??atm mine is vertically and for the life of me cannot see where to change it....any help is appreciated...cheers

I have the 5" so can't do it.

But quick read of the manual & it seems possible for the 4". Look up 'adding a custom layout to the home screen':

- select customise home->add->add new layout

- after adding, select 'split' to choose direction of the split

I can't test it, hopefully it works. Good luck
