blaxland
Hello Raiders after researching FG knot tying methods and tools to assist I had a lightbulb moment. tied a simple loop in the end of the braid put arround a piece of my baitboard and used the rod to get the right tension. it was leaning against the board and I just wound it a little. I must say since reading about the albright knot in this forum I have started to use it also. This is the first attempt at my idea worked a treat in the garage hope it works on the bumpy sea 1
Jewhunter
Great idea mate & well done for thinking outside the box. I find that the FG never fails & the leader just gets shorter over time. So what I do is cut the old knot just down on the leader & hold the old knot in my teeth to tie a new one. It's really helpful in light line.

Therockyledge
Good tip. I use a loop knot on the braid attached to a pin on reel attached to the waist of my pants
Berleyguts
I bought the FG Wizz tool. Haven’t mastered it yet. My double uni knots are still workin anyway!
MainframeJames
Used this trick over the weekend. Fishing for trout and a stonker of a carp hooked up and rubbed my braid on the rocks. Got myself re-rigged much faster. 1
