frankS
Hi I'm doing up an old trailer to use under my Brooker project boat and thought I would make some alloy keel rollers instead of using shop bought items as I prefer to make as much of a boat and trailer set up myself rather than buying stuff. Here is the result, stainless pins alloy brackets and alloy rollers. Frank

frankS
Thanks guys. Fab1 Good point, I actually have them with 2 x R clips, one each end of the shaft, might have to change them to stainless split pins at least that way they would at least need a pair if pliers to get them off, could paint them black so they look like rubber. rickmarlin62
I think i would put a run of weld round the end of the shafts need a grinder then
frankS
Rick Even better idea I can weld stainless washers on the shafts before welding the alloy brackets onto the trailer. And IF I ever need to get them off I could grind the washers off. Frank
