Yowie
Headed out early this morning off Lilli Pilli, hoping for a tailor or legal reddie. Not a tailor to be seen, and only a couple of nowhere near legal reddies. First cast was a 66cm flattie in the darkness, and he snagged one of the ganged hooks on the edge of the net so he would not swim into the net. I had to flip the fish upside down, scoop him up and flip him into the boat like flipping a pizza. He was rather angry when it came to releasing the hooks, so he stayed in the boat. Later on pulled out a 50cm flattie, kept that one, and a short while later pulled out a bigger flattie. Not measured, but somewhere between 70 and 75 cms. That one was released. All fish caught on the same line in the same spot. Pulled out a flounder around the 28cm mark, all fish on fish strips. Pillies did not produce a fish of any size. Plenty of bait fish about, with rat kingies attacking. A few swam under the boat eating the burley. Did not want to stay out too long so headed home early. (the dumb ar*e photo will not upload, so no photo today)
