Leon Nguyen
Hi all, I’m looking at buying a used boat for offshore fishing. I quite like the Southwind SF20 6m fibreglass with a yamaha 175hp (photo attached) but I’m unsure if it can go offshore to places like the peak, 12 miles or even browns mountain. Can anyone give me some advice on this? Thanks in advance.

Ravinggg
As usual, you have to pick your days when going out that wide but the SF20 will not hold you back.
kingfishbig
Going to Brown's Mountain is pretty serious but within the capabilities of that boat provided the weather is very good. It would be advisable to stick to closer trips like The Peak for a while so you can get used to handling the boat, it's fuel consumption, and reliability and your own capabilities.
