Awesome Day no luck

Got to the ramp at 5.30 on an awesome day my plan was to try the JD reefs off Cronulla. While getting our lives my son hooked a 60 cm Kingie on a black fish hook we set up on a dropper rig for yakkas what a show that was on 6lb line.

 So with our bait and a happy first mate we did the trip down off Cronulla to the reefs , picked our spot and got caned by rat kings to 63 cm five in total along with a few sharks. So frustrating when you plan your trip target and catch the fish you want but cannot take home a feed.

Anyway that is fishing but the up side is as always being on the water on a pearler of a day with my son.

What sort of sharks were around brother? did you get an ID?

Mostly shovel nose but also one hammer head
