Day time Land based Yakkas or Squid

Just wondering about some good spots in Sydney harbour for squid or yakkas preferably up towards middle harbour that are easily accessible via public transport. I can only fish these places during the day due to travel time. What baits should be used and where can I get the baits. 

The purpose if for catching kings so I am also interested to know if kings are catchable at the same spot.

Clifton garden & balmoral baths there’s a wharf on the left hand side, squid, yakkas & kings can all be caught there & forty baskets tough going if you get a good king though (moored boats)

Can you catch Kings in the Winter?

They usually move out to the offshore reefs, but while the water is still ok no reason that they won’t hang around for awhile besides you might score a Jew, salmon or good tailor as by catch

Ok sounds good, when you say offshore reefs are they places like longreef and 12 mile reef?

Cant find the post but not long ago one of the raiders caught a great land based king in the harbour.

 

Its all about having the right bait at the right time with a bit of luck thrown in.

 

No right or wrong or magic pills out there, just doing the hard yards & putting the work in.
