Want to no others experience Always found early morning with lures and dusk into the night with bait (Gar's/Pilly's) but likely any time in daylight when around
James Clain
Caught tailor on lures and bait, never caught a tailor in the morning. Had plenty of catches at sunset and into the dark.

Green Hornet
Dawn for sure and a dark moon. My theory is, with the dark moon the fish have trouble feeding at night as there is no light to silhouette the bait off. Therefore at dawn they are hungry! 5
Rebel
Hi Green Hornet, While you are here can you have a look at my query in Reels and maintenace and give some advice if possible. Thanks.
blaxland
I prefer to launch at about dawn, but it is more about the time of day I like to start and finish. I know some serious snapper fishermen who are on their marks at 3, 4 or 5 am. As to tailor probably the most aggressive fish I have encountered and if in the area will strike at any time of day.
