JonD
Sorry didn't take pics before but this is what Ive had done to make the trailer a quicker launch and retrieve. The boat is a Haines signature which have a plaining plank hence the flattened wider section as you get towards the back of the trailer. The wobble rollers are mainly for support as the weight of the hull is taken on the keel. Replaced the hubs and all break mechanisms, so should be trouble free for a while. Flys off the trailer and dead easy to drive on. Edited May 10, 2020 by JonD
frankS
Jon. looks fabulous and you won't mistake what trailer is yours at the ramp. I have built a couple like that where I have been lucky enough to turn the boat upside down and build the trailer on the hull so it fits perfectly. zmk1962
Love it Jon. That’s an awesome solution and so much less maintenance. Are the skids box section fully welded? Any weep holes? Did you redip the whole trailer? cheers Zoran

JonD
Just now, zmk1962 said: Thanks. Couldn’t tell if it was gal or ally from photos. Great job. 👍 cheers Zoran Certainly easy to drive on. The wobble rollers are now permanently fixed with no adjustment height as they always seemed to creep a little ending with some not supporting anything and just rattling against the hull. As you know the signature variable deadrise and widening planning plank can make for a tricky trailer setup.
jeffb5.8
I would have though the end of the trailer would have a roller to get the bow up and rolling.
