williamthomas Posted August 7, 2020 Posted August 7, 2020 What are your stories of fishing in a fog? Mine is mostly donut fishing in a fog.
noelm Posted August 7, 2020 Posted August 7, 2020 Do you think the fish know it's foggy, or raining, or windy?
Green Hornet Posted August 7, 2020 Posted August 7, 2020 In the kayak, I always fished the shallow flats in the fog. The flats usually fished well with the extra cover from harsh light. Too risky in the deeper water with idiots buzzing around at full throttle. 3
Yowie Posted August 7, 2020 Posted August 7, 2020 Nothing wrong with a fog, it's just the idiots in boats that don't slow down in a fog, making it dangerous. A sea fog is usually denser than a land fog.
savit Posted August 7, 2020 Posted August 7, 2020 Morning fog from a kayak - it is effing beautiful and effing cold. Sunrays reflections through the fog , refreshing wake coming from nowhere. And idiots, idiots, idiots on the boats. Fishing is possible though usually not fully relaxing: I try to find some cul de sac until visibility improves, as there are some boats trolling shallows.
