Drought Breaker
Evening all, hope you all had a good weekend. So we are heading up for a 2 week fish (supposed to be Tully QLD, Thanks Anastasia for your border closure) and 2nd option is around Coffs Harbour. Have not fished there before so doing the good old research and trying to get some reasonably close to shore snapper marks of the internet. Would anyone be willing to share a few such as Bullocky Shoals etc?. We badly need a Coffs version of scratchie lol. Thanks heaps.
dirvin21
don't know any actual coordinates but theres plenty of hard reef just south of coffs off Sawtell in the 20 metres, the snapper should be in close at the moment try the tackle shop they're usually a pretty good source of info
PaddyT
I know Coffs pretty well- there is reef everywhere- stacks in the 20-30m range and inshore from that , then another band out at 50M. The reef runs from NAmbucca to Wooli to be honest it makes PS look like an overfished desert !!. Variety of species is excellent with pearlies, tuskies, kings , snaps, and all sorts of other stuff- a good place to start for bottom fish is the northern side of the island and the reefs of Sawtell in the other direction-good luck
