James Clain
Not something that I hooked but last week I was at a family members house who lives on mccars creek. As I was walking down their jetty as my vibrations went along the pontoon the entire dry-dock lifted up about 2 foot and a massive wake came out from underneath. Something seriously large was sheltering beneath the pontoon. Cool story for me! It could be a number of things: black cod, massive stingray, giant grouper. Any other suggestions? Its useless trying to be sure about what it is since I never got an ID but I thought It would be something interesting for everyone here to go about solving. There are heaps of strange and weird fishing stories on here so I though I would add one!
Little_Flatty
I think it's time to annoy said family member by hanging out on their pontoon all the time with a heavy line out under the wharf! Then find out what it is and post a report Either that, or you teach them to fish so they can find out on your behalf

Yowie
Big eagle ray. They move into shallow water to suck up nippers and worms from the sand.
