spizza
G'day Raiders, Took up an invitation from a friend to do some bottom bouncing off Sydney today on board a local charter boat.... Haven't bottom bounced for a while, but I must admit it was quite enjoyable. We hauled in some bigger than usual mowies, a couple of plate sized reds, tasty leather jackets and some big slimeys that turned on some fun action, we found them in the middle of the heads.. The weather was beaut, I'm burnt like a lobster .. You got to love our city..... Cheers, Spizza
REKLESS
Gidday spiza,I was wondering about the slimeys, were they the horse version?,I am taking out some newbys and I really cant think of anything more fun then giving someone uninitiated to them then giving them a 12 lb handline and a school of slimeys.I guess that they will be around the yellow marker buoy off north head as usual, has any one else encountered them? Hi Reckless, I'm not too sure what the 'horse' versions are, but I can tell you we were getting two types. The blue slimey's and the the yellow tail slimeys which were the biggest of the bunch. They were scoffing the baits we were using for the mowies, reds..etc. Only problem was that with ten guys fishing, the slimeys were causing utter chaos, tangling numerous lines as they darted in circles after being hooked......With some much slimey activity and commotion going on I was on the lookout for some kings to pounce!! But unfortunately they didn't show.. Today they were a little further out from the yellow marker buoy, and dead centre between both headlands....
