Navionics or C-Map

I am going to update my mapping card from my current 10 year old Navionics Gold to either the C-Map Reveal or the Navionics Platinum Plus I am particularly interested in fishing around the Bermagui, Narooma, Tathra areas. Can anyone make a recommendation on which would likely be the better choice? I like the sea bed contours of the C-Map but wondering if this is detailed in the areas I would be fishing.

I've not used either. THi only thing I've heard is that people can buy a map for their area and then they find out

that the bits they are interested in, aren't covered by the new details.

Maybe check on each vendor site and see what they say. I've only used Navionics myself, but if I find the box that the sounder came in, I might try out the CMaps for a week to see what they are like.

I can't seem to make much headway on this matter I was hoping that others could tell me what they are using. Looks like the C-Map Reveal may not cover the area that I want so maybe my choices are Navionics Platinum or one of the C-Map cards. 

What is every one using at the moment

I have navionics on my phone.  I dont really trust it.  As you can see I drove straight over wallaby reef the other day.  It will also show me going straight over holbourne island, nares rock and middle Island if I go within a hundred metres of them.  

It seems to save my markers ok though I can always find my fishing spots but it's just not as accurate around certain islands/reefs.  

Cmap is still installed on my 10 year old raymarine plotter and it is more accurate around the islands and reef.

Plus all those fancy contour lines almost never add up to what the sounder is actually reading.  I'm moving to brisbane/sunshine coast later this year so I will wait and see if the maps are any better down there.

Lowrance tells me that C-Map Contour Plus is only available for the USA  pre loaded Australia only gets the C-Map Enhanced pre loaded so I have managed to pick up a new C-Map Max N + from an online seller so I will see how that goes.

Not sure how Lowrance are going about the reveal side of things but with Garmin the fact Ive purchased the g3 vision means I can down load the high res bathymetric charts for free as they get more.

I believe the g3 is closer to Cmap without the bathy charts and Im finding side by side using an older platinum chart in a lowrance I use just for navigation to be more accurate in terms of contours, humps and bumps etc. Cmap seems to show things that simply aren't there.
