REELCRAZY Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Hi raiders, I’m looking at launching out of dark point ramp, patonga later this week. Will be in a quinine 475 bayhunter. I will be heading offshore and just want to conserve fuel by launching closer to the heads. Has anyone used this ramp before? Any dramas with tide levels? Thanks in advance
GoingFishing Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Good ramp. Ull get that boat in easy. No pontoon FYI
REELCRAZY Posted April 25, 2021 Author Posted April 25, 2021 Thanks mate. Yeah I saw there is no pontoon, will be all good.
Fun2fish Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Hi mate depending on where you’re coming from parsley bay boat ramp at Brooklyn is a great ramp and only about 10 minutes further to travel to heads 1
the skipper Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Yeah I would do Brooklyn it is protected and a good set up with floating pontoon
Pickles Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 Ev, for the extra driving (car) to Patonga, unless you are staying there for a few days, Parsley Bay at Brooklyn is much better ramp with secure parking, a pontoon and new wharf with 3 lane ramp

Looks like a great spot to sit and look out over the bay!
Pickles Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Can highly recommend it - been there on numerous occasions - Also a nice bushwalk over the headland along Pearl beach Patonga fire trail to Greenpoint (but take some water with you).
